Hess will pitch out of the bulpen going forward, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Josh Rogers will take Hess's spot in the rotation, starting Wednesday against Oakland. Hess owns a poor 7.20 ERA in 65 innings for the Orioles this season.
