Lengel (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to the Patriots' injured reserve list Monday, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.
Lengel was competing with James O'Shaughnessy and Jacob Hollister for a role providing depth at tight end before going down with an undisclosed injury. He's now set to spend the entire 2017 season on IR.
