  • Sissons notched a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks. Now with seven points in 23 games (three goals, four assists), Sissons should easily surpass his 10-point effort from last season. The fact that he sees time on the Preds' second power-play unit -- where he averages roughly two minutes of ice time per game -- further enhances his fantasy appeal. Given his current pace, the 24-year-old Sissons should finish somewhere in the 25- to 30-point range, which isn't half bad for a fourth-line center. He's worth a look if you're in a deeper format in need of some secondary scoring.

  • Sissons recorded two assists, two shots, two hits and two blocked shots through 14:45 of ice time during Tuesday's 6-3 win over Washington. This was Sissons' first multi-point outing of the campaign, but he's beginning to show a bit more offense of late with two goals and four helpers through his past 12 contests. Additionally, he's added modest peripheral contributions this season with 12 PIM, 23 hits and a plus-2 rating. However, the versatile 24-year-old forward is still best left to deep settings at this stage of the game.

  • Sissons registered a primary assist on a Roman Josi goal in Friday's 4-3 road win over the Ducks. A fiery competitor, Sissons is consistently deployed on both the power play and penalty kill, though a single power-play assist from last Saturday's game against the Islanders represents his lone point on special teams. The B.C. native is more valuable to the Predators than the general fantasy populous because he brings intangibles that don't always show up on the scoresheet.

  • Sissons scored a goal and received a minor penalty while logging 17:08 of ice time during Thursday's 1-0 win over Philadelphia. The versatile forward has logged more minutes over his past three games (17:57 with 1:35 on the power play) and has now scored a goal in consecutive contests. Sissons has never been a go-to scorer in the professional ranks, but he did have a mini breakout during last spring's playoff run, and he could provide serviceable fantasy results in deep settings while playing a top-six role.

  • Predators' Colton Sissons: Will play Thursday
    By RotoWire Staff

Sissons (lower body) will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Stars, Thomas Willis of the Predators' official site reports. Sissons' return to action won't impact many fantasy lineups, as the 23-year-old forward only totaled 10 points in 58 games last season, but it should improve the Predators' penalty-killing units' effectiveness. The 2012 second-round pick will center Cody McLeod and Austin Watson on Nashville's fourth line against Dallas.
