Tiger Woods will be making his first appearance of the year when the 2024 Genesis Invitational tees off at Riviera Country Club on Thursday, Feb. 15. The first tee times come at 10:20 a.m. ET. The 82-time PGA Tour winner returns to action for the first time in a sanctioned event since the Masters in 2023. He also played in the Genesis Invitational in 2023, making the cut and finishing T-45. Woods arrives at Riviera as a massive 150-1 longshot according to the latest 2024 Genesis Invitational odds.

Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, is listed as the 7-1 favorite, followed by Rory McIlroy (17-2), Viktor Hovland (12-1), Xander Schauffele (14-1) and Max Homa (14-1). Before locking in your 2024 Genesis Invitational picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scottie Scheffler winning in 2022.

In addition, the model included Nick Taylor in its best bets to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open. That bet hit at +7000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,900. McClure's best bets also included Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the Genesis Invitational 2024 field is set, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

Top 2024 Genesis Invitational predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Genesis Invitational: Schauffele, a seven-time PGA Tour champion and one of the top favorites, struggles this week and doesn't even crack the top five. Schauffele has been one of the most consistent golfers since joining the PGA Tour in 2017. He's made the cut in 143 of 166 events, securing 53 top-10 finishes. He opened the 2024 PGA Tour season with three straight top-10 finishes.

However, Schauffele struggled in his last start, finishing T-54 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier this month. He's also been among the worst putters on the PGA Tour this season, ranking 137th in putts per round (30.18), 140th in one-putt percentage (33.33%) and 141st in strokes gained: putting (-0.517). He's not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the 2024 Genesis Invitational field.

The model has also revealed where Woods will finish in the 2024 Genesis Invitational. Woods will have a new look this week after the 15-time major champion revealed his new brand at a press conference at Riviera Country Club on Monday. After 27 years with Nike, Woods teamed up with TaylorMade to launch a new brand called Sun Day Red.

Woods has won 82 times on the PGA Tour, but he's never been victorious at Riviera. He started his career at Riviera as a 16-year-old amateur and has recorded two runner-ups and four top-10 finishes. Woods' last full four-round effort on the PGA Tour came at the Genesis Invitational in 2023, where he finished 45th. The model just locked in its Tiger Woods Genesis Invitational picks here.
