I'm already giddy about the U.S. Open this year. In 2007, Angel Cabrera won Oakmont with a 5-over 285. It might be even worse this year.
For example, some media members discovered on Monday that there is going to be a 300-yard par 3. Three-hundred yards! It's a hole that played 305 yards in 2007 and Phil Mickelson said should play to a par of 3.5 back in 2007.
Our pals Shane Bacon and Joel Klatt played Oakmont on Monday (Bacon shot a 77, by the way), and that hole certainly does not look easy.

Also, this will be fun.
Why not? A 118-yard putt on the first hole at #Oakmont. pic.twitter.com/GRU0E29Zvu
