Tiger Woods scores, tracker at Masters 2024: Laborious week at Augusta National ends with records set

The 2024 Masters was one to forget for Tiger Woods, who followed a career-worst score at a major championship (82 on Saturday) with a 77 on Sunday that left him 16 over for the tournament. That mark is Tiger's worst to par across four rounds in his major career and second-worst at any professional event.

It was a particularly disappointing weekend display for Woods after he started the tournament 1 over through his first 36 holes and sat inside the top 25 on the leaderboard entering Moving Day. Tiger set an Augusta National record making the cut in his 24th consecutive playing of the tournament, and he made 22 of 36 fairways over the first two rounds, his best such mark since 1999.

The wheels simply fell off on Saturday. Ultimately, Woods completed four rounds at a major for the first time since the 2022 Masters, when he went 78-78 over the weekend, twice posting his prior high mark at Augusta National.

As for when we will see Tiger next, he mentioned earlier this week that plans remain in place to play all four majors this year. That would put him on track for the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla next month. Woods was initially scheduled to play once per month -- even outside of majors -- but a withdrawal at the 2024 Genesis Invitational due to illness played a role in altering those plans.

Par-streak ends on 15

Tiger had made eight straight pars, but it comes to an end with a bogey on the par-5 15th. He drops to 16 over and 5 over on the day. His playing partner, Neal Shipley, is having himself quite the day. He almost just made an ace on the par-3 16th.

Tiger plays Amen Corner in even par

The cat goes par-par-par around Amen Corner as he fails to take advantage of the par-5 13th. He remains at 15 over and in dead last among those who made the cut. He has just five holes remaining in his 2024 tournament.

Tiger in the midst of Amen Corner

The cat pars the 11th for the fourth straight day and is on dry land on the par-3 12th. He's at 15 over and in last place among those who made the cut, but let's see if he can make a move forward with a par and birdie on the par-5 13th coming up.

Tiger turns in 40

Outside of the triple bogey on No. 5, Tiger Woods looked pretty solid on his first nine. After picking off a birdie on No. 2, Woods faltered on some of the more difficult holes like the short third which will be devilish for players today. A nice up-and-down on the ninth put a bow on an opening 40.

10 to go for Tiger

It is a par on the par-5 8th for Tiger. He was greenside in two and hit a pretty poor pitch for his standards. He remains at 4 over for the day and 15 over for the tournament. Meanwhile, his playing partner Neal Shipley is buzzing! Back-to-back birdies for the amateur to get into red figures on the round.

Tiger makes 7 on No. 5

A day after making the first birdie of the day on No. 5, Tiger Woods makes the first triple bogey in Round 4. He blasted his tee shot out of bounds and played his second ball in a fashion which would have normally produced a bogey. Not a great result after an early birdie on No. 2.

Back to even on the day

No. 3 is diabolical and Tiger pays the prices with a poor second shot. He drops to even par on the round and makes par on the long par-3 4th to remain there. He is in the middle of a difficult stretch of holes with No. 5 and No. 6 which will feature another devilish hole location.

A birdie on No. 2!

Finally! The cat is out of the bag as Tiger makes his first birdie on the par-5 2nd of the week. He hit a booming drive, lace a mid iron to 30 feet and needed just two putts from there. He gets to red figures and 10 over for the tournament.

Cat and cub on the practice area

Tiger Woods is warming up for his 100th round at Augusta National with a new swing coach in his corner. He's got his son, Charlie, helping him progress through the golf bag for what will be a fun final round for the 15-time major champ. He draws the only amateur to make the cut in Neal Shipley at 9:35 a.m. ET.

Tiger shoots career-high major score

It was not the day that Tiger had envisioned. Tiger shoots a career-high major score with a 10-over 82 replacing an 81 from the 2002 Open. It ties his worst score in relation to par in a major with the other instance coming in Round 1 of the 2015 U.S. Open. Woods now stands at 11 over for the tournament.

Tiger down to +9

Another hole and another bogey for Tiger. He fails to take advantage of his final par 5 of the day and instead drops another. He is on pace to shoot 80 which would be a stunner. Not only his highest in Masters career, but his highest in his major career potentially.

Woods drops another

Well, the birdie is erased immediately. Tiger misses his drive way right, lashes his second somewhere close to the putting surface and then fails to get up-and-down. He's 7 over on the round, but outside that four-hole stretch on the first nine it has been solid.

There it is!

Tiger makes birdie on No. 13 to get the dropped shot back. He hit a nifty wedge shot and rolled in a curler from just about 10 feet to get back to even on his second nine. He's now 6 over for the day which is in line with the highest score of his career at Augusta National (78).

Let's break 80

Alrighty, that was a weak stroke. Tiger fails to get up-and-down on No. 12 and is now 7 over for the day. Weekends have not been kind to the cat recently. He withdrew last year and went 78-78 in 2022. He's on pace for something similar, although he still has a pair of par 5s ahead.

Tiger steps to 12 tee

Well, it is a much better start to his second nine compared to the end to his first nine. Tiger makes an easy par on No. 10 and once again gets up-and-down on 11 for his third par of the week on that hole. He looks much better overall and may be able to get something going over the next couple holes.

Tiger turns in 42

Alright, let's just get home here. That was a tough first nine to watch. After playing his first five holes in even par, Woods plays his last four in 6 over and now stands at 7 over. He's put some stress on that lower body and has been wincing every now and again. Just gotta keep an eye on him.

Time to regroup

This has been a disastrous hour. Tiger goes bogey-double-double after making birdie on No. 5. He hasn't hit a good shot since the tee shot on No. 6 and he is now 5 over through his first eight.

U-G-L-Y

It's a double for cat on No. 7, his first of the week. I'm not sure he hit one good shot on that hole. He missed the fairway right, didn't cut his second enough, chunked his third, hit a poor bunker shot and then two putted for 6. He's 3 over on the day and +4 for the tournament.

Speed control has been rough

After a nice tee shot that trickled just off the putting surface, Tiger Woods wields an ineffective putter. He needs three from just off the green and it is another bogey on a par 3 for Tiger. He had creeped inside the top 20, but with the bogey he is now +2 and T23.

Bounce back!

The first birdie of the day on the difficult par-4 5th belongs to Tiger Woods. After splitting the fairway, Woods unleashed a high, towering iron shot (one of his best of the week) to roughly 20 feet and curled in his birdie bid. That's just his seventh birdie on No. 5 of his Masters career.

Oof

After hitting a solid tee shot on the long par-3 4th, Tiger needs 3 putts for bogey. The cause was the first putt as he blasted it past and left him a ticklish 6 footer to save par. It would have been nice to make, but the 4th will see its fair share of dropped shots today. He's now at 2 over.

The start is out there

Well, a member of the pairing is 2 under through 3, but it is Tyrrell Hatton and not Tiger Woods. Tiger misses from just about 18 feet above the pin on No. 3 and will instead settle for par. It may have been a good look on paper, but he had to be defensive with it given the speed and turn on it.

Tiger fails to birdie No. 2 again

For the third straight day, Tiger Woods walks off the second hole without a birdie. With not a ton of scoring chances throughout the golf course, the par 5s need to be had. He remains at 1 over for the tournament after a par-par start.

Tiger takes the tee

The big cat has arrived. Starting at 1 over, Woods will look to fire something under par for the first time all week. He has driven it great, chipped with the best of them and holed enough putts. He has only hit 17 greens in regulation through two rounds — that must improve if he is to make up any ground on this seven-stroke deficit.

Tiger Woods set Masters record with 24th straight made cut

Well, you know what they say, class is timeless, and Tiger Woods has been all class through two days of the 2024 Masters. Navigating his way around Augusta National in an even-par fashion on Friday, Woods has carded a 36-hole total of 1-over 145 to sit well inside the projected cut line. Woods is set to make the cut for a record 24th straight time at the Masters pulling him out of the previous tie with Fred Couples and Gary Player. At 1 over, Woods is currently inside the top 30 and eight off the lead.

Class from the cat

This has been fantastic to watch. He gets up-and-down again from long of 17 and is sure to make the weekend now. At 1 over, he is at least three strokes inside the projected cutline with one hole to play. I'll wait on announcing the record is his in case of my mushing power is stronger than I ever believed.

Cat gets one back on 15

What a beautiful round this has been. Tiger picks off a birdie on No. 15 to return to even par on the day and 1 over for the tournament. The towering draw he hit into the green was vintage stuff.

Short-game school in session

This has been a ridiculous display from cat. He gets up-and-down on No. 11 from long and right to remain at 1 over and make up ground on the leaders. He's only seven off the pace and has one of the better rounds of the day going at even par. The course average as it stands is just north of 75.

Tidy!

A par on No. 10 is never a bad thing. Tiger Woods finds the fairway, finds the green and two putts for his par on the 10th. He remains at 1 over and three strokes inside the projected cutline. It may be possible this thing moves to even 5 over with how Augusta is playing.
