Kyle Busch got off to a slow start but revved up his game before the coronavirus pandemic put a halt to the 2020 NASCAR schedule. Busch finished no higher than 13th in his first four races of the year before placing second in the Auto Club 400 on March 1 and third in the FanShield 500 a week later. The reigning Cup Series champion is expected to fare even better when the season resumes on Sunday at Darlington Raceway with The Real Heroes 400.

Busch, who has recorded 56 Cup Series wins and 209 victories in his NASCAR career, is the 5-1 favorite in the current 2020 NASCAR at Darlington odds from William Hill. Denny Hamlin (13-2), Kevin Harvick (13-2), FanShield 500 winner Joey Logano (7-1) and Martin Truex Jr. (15-2) round out the top five 2020 Darlington 400 contenders. The green flag drops at 3:30 p.m. ET. With new starting lineup and pit-selection procedures, as well as a modified competition caution process, you'll want to check out the 2020 NASCAR at Darlington predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2020 Real Heroes 400 picks.

Roberts has had a scorching start to the 2020 NASCAR season, with his top pick winning the first two races. In the season-opening Daytona 500 three weeks ago, he nailed winner Denny Hamlin at 10-1 odds, and two weeks ago in the Pennzoil 400, he hit Joey Logano at 13-2.

Roberts also is coming off a huge 2019 NASCAR season. Those who wagered $100 on Roberts' predicted winner in each of the 40 NASCAR races last year (an investment of $4,000) finished with a profit of $2,100. In addition, those who put down $50 on each of Roberts' top four choices in each of the 40 NASCAR races last year (an investment of $8,000) were up $3,400. Anyone who has followed his NASCAR picks is up huge year after year.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday's NASCAR at Darlington 1 race. He's sharing his winner and leaderboard right here.

2020 Real Heroes 400 expert predictions

One shocker: Roberts is low on Harvick, even though he's one of the top 2020 NASCAR Darlington contenders at 13-2. In fact, Roberts says Harvick doesn't even crack the top five.

"Since joining Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014, his worst finish in six Darlington races has been ninth," Roberts told SportsLine. "He led 518 laps over those six races and also scored the only win (in 23 career starts) on the track 'Too Tough to Tame' with an overtime victory in 2014."

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Matt Kenseth, a long shot at 28-1 in the latest 2020 Real Heroes 400 odds. The 48-year-old, who hasn't driven in the Cup Series since 2018 but is replacing the suspended Kyle Larson for Chip Ganassi Racing for the remainder of the season, has registered three top-five finishes and 12 top-10s in 25 career races at Darlington Raceway.

"The last time Darlington had a race in May, he won it with Joe Gibbs Racing," Roberts told SportsLine. "He's been very good at Darlington over his career."

How to make 2020 Real Heroes 400 picks

Roberts also says a huge long shot "should have a car capable of winning." This driver has done well this season with the 550-horsepower engine being used on Sunday. Anyone who backs him could hit it big.
