James Harden is featured alongside Steph Curry and Anthony Davis in a series of new ads for 2K Sports' NBA 2K16.
Now comes a new promo, narrated by Spike Lee like Curry's "My Story" ad was, and this one touches on how Harden came up in Compton, eventually heading to Arizona State and finally adopting the trademark beard with the Thunder before becoming the MVP candidate he is now with the Rockets. Okay first and foremost, Harden with no beard! I did a triple-take, just remembering what he looked like as a kid without the fierce facial hair. He has a face under there, or at least he did! A shocking reminder that he didn't come out of the womb sporting the grizzly growth on his chin.
With all the attention on Compton with the release of "Straight Outta Compton" the film on the NWA this week, it's fitting that Harden appears this week in that ad.
Shockingly, no clips of Harden with new flame Khloe Kardashian made the cut. NBA 2K16 drops September 29th on all major gaming consoles.
