Flacco INT sinks Browns

Joe Flacco played OK in his Browns debut (23-for-44, 254 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT), but that last statistic was the back-breaker. Flacco's interception came with Cleveland trailing, 20-19, with less than seven minutes to play, and Los Angeles responded with a Cooper Kupp touchdown to go up eight. Cleveland then turned it over on downs on its ensuing possession, essentially sealing its second-straight loss. The Rams, meanwhile, have won three straight and are currently the seventh seed in the NFC at 6-6.

Deebo hat trick caps 49ers' dominance

Deebo Samuel put the finishing touches on one of the most impressive wins of the season with his third touchdown of the afternoon. It gave the 49ers a 42-19 advantage, and San Francisco would win by that same score against the now 10-2 Eagles.

Samuel was incredible on the day, backing up the trash talk he's put out since the 49ers lost the NFC Championship game to the Eagles:

  • 4 catches, 116 yards, 2 TDs
  • 3 carries, 22 yards, 1 TD

After Philadelphia's loss, the race for the top seed in the NFC is officially on with five weeks to play:

Buccaneers hold off Panthers

Thanks to a big day from Mike Evans (7 receptions, 162 yards, 1 TD), the Buccaneers defeated the Panthers, 21-18, to stay in the thick of the NFC South race. It wasn't without anxiety, however. Carolina had the ball with three-plus minutes left needing a field goal to tie, but Tampa Bay's defense came up big. Namely, it was Antoine Winfield Jr., who corralled the game-sealing interception off Bryce Young. Rachaad White then ran out the clock to secure a victory.

Hurts leads TD drive after return

Returning after five plays, Jalen Hurts led a big scoring drive to keep the Eagles' slim hopes of winning alive. DeVonta Smith caught the touchdown that pulled Philadelphia within 16 points, but fewer than six minutes remain.

JOE FLACCO

Trailing 20-13, Joe Flacco led a 13-play, 75-yard drive that ended with his touchdown pass to tight end Harrison Bryant. However, instead of tying the game with the extra point, Dustin Hopkins missed his attempt. Rams still lead by one.

Rams take the lead

The Rams and Browns could both use this win badly, and they're playing like it. Los Angeles just took the lead late in the third quarter on Matthew Stafford's pass to Demarcus Robinson.

Hurts gets evaluated for concussion, returns to game

Not only are the Eagles down double-digits, but their star QB went to the locker room after getting tackled on a scramble late in the third quarter. Hurts was evaluated for a concussion, the team announced, but returned after Marcus Mariota was in at QB for five plays.

Mike Evans to the crib

Despite going down, 10-7, in the third quarter, the Buccaneers have trailed for exactly zero seconds of game action. How could that be? After Chuba Hubbard scored for the Panthers, there was a touchback. Then, on the very next play, Baker Mayfield found Mike Evans down the middle of the field, and the veteran wideout outran everyone to the sideline and dove for the pylon for the score from 75 yards out. Bucs back in front 14-10.

Eagles, 49ers trade scores

Just because 49ers-Eagles has been chippy doesn't mean it hasn't been high quality. Three second-half possessions, three touchdowns between the two teams -- with Jalen Hurts finding the end zone on the "Tush Push" in between two big-time scores from Deebo Samuel. San Francisco up 28-13.

Panthers star ejected

It's not just the 49ers and Eagles that's getting chippy. The Bucs and Panthers have gotten into it as well, leading to the ejection of Carolina pass-rusher Brian Burns, who threw a punch at Tampa Bay offensive lineman Cody Mauch.

Eagles chief of security, 49ers star ejected after scuffle

It's getting chippy in Philadelphia, so much so that Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro got into it with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw -- leading to both people getting ejected. There's still seven minutes left in the third quarter, so expect some more scuffles before this massive NFC showdown is done.

49ers ROLLING vs. Eagles

  • 49ers' first two drives: 6 plays, -6 yards, two punts
  • 49ers' next three drives: 28 plays, 250 yards, three touchdowns

It's been ALL 49ers since the Eagles went up 6-0 in the first quarter.

Helmet to helmet

Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson had the helmet of Myles Garrett after a play before halftime, but it was no doing of his own. Garrett's helmet somehow got lodged in Jackson's helmet, leading to a funny scene in which both players couldn't help but smile.

New NFL TD leader

Raheem Mostert tied Christian McCaffrey with his 16th TD of the season in the Dolphins' blowout win vs. the Commanders. That was short-lived, however, as McCaffrey just scored his NFL-leading 17th score to give the 49ers a 14-6 lead over the Eagles before halftime.

WR injuries in Browns-Rams

The Browns and Rams are each without one of their biggest playmakers as we head towards halftime. Amari Cooper went to the locker room and is being evaluated for a concussion, according to the Fox broadcast. Nucua, meanwhile, exited the game after hurting his ribs on an incredible catch. Both players are questionable to return.

Big upset in Pittsburgh

Two weather delays didn't prevent the Cardinals from raining on the Steelers' hopes of catching the Ravens in the AFC North. Pittsburgh is now two games back of Baltimore after a shocking 24-10 loss to Arizona (3-10) that was never really close.

Controversial TD puts 49ers ahead of Eagles

Lifeless for the first quarter, the 49ers offense came alive with an 11-play, 85-yard drive that Brandon Aiyuk capped with a diving touchdown catch in the rain in Philadelphia. Only as he hit the ground, the ball moved in his hands until he got full control. The play got reviewed, and to the dismay of Eagles fans, was upheld to give San Francisco the 7-6 advantage.

Cardinals blowout

And no, it's not the Cardinals getting blown out; it's Arizona BLOWING OUT the 7-4 Steelers. James Conner has been a big reason why, as he has two touchdowns against his former team. Pittsburgh down 24-7.

PUKA

Puka Nacua entered Sunday ninth in the NFL in receiving yards -- remember, he's a fifth-round rookie -- and he'll surely climb that list based on the start he's off to Sunday. Trailing 7-3, the Rams took the lead after Matthew Stafford found Nacua and Nacua did the rest, outrunning everyone for the 70-yard score.

Joe Flacco ... still elite?

First possession for Joe Flacco as Browns starting QB: 4-for-5 passing for 65 yards and a touchdown to open the scoring against the Rams. Jerome Ford was the beneficiary of Flacco's pass, catching a go route out of the backfield for the 24-yard score.

COLTS WIN

Perhaps the wackiest game of the NFL season ended in dramatic fashion. The Colts, trailing by three points with 4:20 left in overtime, stunned the division rival Titans by scoring in just five plays -- the biggest of which was a pristine deep ball from Gardner Minshew to Alec Pierce for a 55-yard gain. Two plays later, Minshew went to his favorite target, Michael Pittman Jr., who beat his man on a slant route and caught the four-yard touchdown for the walk-off win. Indianapolis, one of the worst teams in the league last season, is now 7-5 and in the playoffs as of now.

Falcons survive

It wasn't a promising performance, but it was enough for the Falcons (6-6) to remain in first place in the NFC South. The Jets had one last chance -- from their own 7-yard line with 1:53 to play and no timeouts -- but after a great ball from Trevor Siemian gave New York fans some hope, the offense fizzled out in the 13-8 defeat.

Lions survive

The Lions had no business being in this close of a game after starting the game up 21-0, but credit Dan Campell's team for making enough plays when it mattered most to hold on for the victory over the Saints. Detroit moves to 9-3.

Texans survive

C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, Derek Stingley Jr., DeMeco Ryans and the HOUSTON TEXANS are now 7-5 after cooling off the red-hot Broncos, 22-17. It came down to the wire, with Denver inside the Houston 10-yard line in the final seconds, but Jimmy Ward came through with the game-sealing interception in the end zone. By the end of today, Houston could be in the AFC playoffs entering the final stretch of the season.

Titans score TD, miss XP

The Titans tied the game on DeAndre Hopkins' short touchdown catch, but they missed the extra point as the game remained tied at 25. A reason Nick Folk may have missed? Punter Ryan Stonehouse, who was injured on the Colts' second blocked punt, is also the holder, meaning backup QB Ryan Tannehill had to hold. The hold appeared OK, but Folk still missed. Going down to the wire in Tennessee.

Stingley gets Russ twice

These young Texans are so fun to watch. Derek Stingley Jr., the No. 3 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has now intercepted Russell Wilson twice after this sensational pick with the Broncos threatening to take the lead. He's got four interceptions in his last three games, and the Texans remain ahead.

Lions offense re-ignites

It took three Saints touchdowns for the Lions to take up, but they have. Leading 24-21, Detroit tacked on a field goal and then extended its lead back to double digits thanks to Jameson Williams taking the double reverse and exploding down the right sideline for the 19-yard score.

ANOTHER BLOCKED PUNT

The Colts have blocked two points IN A ROW against the Titans. They returned the first for a touchdown and then turned the second into a field goal to go up 25-19. This wacky game keeps getting wackier.

Nico Collins legacy game

With Tank Dell ruled out with an injury, Nico Collins has had the game of his life for the Texans. Check out these stats: eight catches for 173 yards and a touchdown. Texans wouldn't be up on Denver if not for the former Michigan wideout.

INSANE SEQUENCE

We've had a quarterback lose a fumble and then force a fumble -- on the same play! And now, we have this:

  • Nick Cross blocked the Titans punt, and Grant Stuard recovered and returned the ball 18 yards for a touchdown (Colts 22, Titans 17)
  • Gardner Minshew's pass on the two-point conversion bounced off of Zach Moss hands and landed into the arms of Amani Hooker. The Titans safety made a move on Minshew and was off to the races and into the end zone for two points. (Colts 22, Titans 19)
