TRICK PLAY TD

Leave it to the Chiefs to run a perfectly executed trick play at the goal line. This formation was just bonkers: you had RB Jerick McKinnon in the shotgun with Patrick Mahomes -- IN A THREE-POINT STANCE -- lined up to the left of him. It looked like McKinnon would run around left end, but instead he flipped it to Rashee Rice running the other way. The rookie WR then navigated back up the middle for the four-yard score. And for those wondering, that's a touchdown pass for McKinnon. Andy Reid in his bag early vs. the Patriots.

Turnover leads to TD

The Packers have taken a 7-0 lead thanks to a strip sack by second-year defender Kingsley Enagbare and a receiving touchdown by rookie Tucker Kraft. The young players are getting it done for Green Bay.

Mostert makes franchise history

Raheem Mostert just etched himself into the Dolphins record books with his two-yard touchdown in the first quarter against the Jets. It marked his 19th touchdown of the season, a franchise record, and his 17th on the ground. Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa have grabbed a lot of the headlines for Miami this year, but Mostert is also a huge reason for its success so far.

Levis and the Titans strike first

Will Levis led a nearly impossible comeback over the Dolphins on "Monday Night Football," and he's off to a great start Sunday versus the Texans. After the Titans defense forced a three-and-out, Levis led an 11-play, 83-yard drive that included a long pitch-and-catch from Levis to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. That set up Tennessee at the edge of the goal line, and two plays later Levis ran the ball in himself to take the early lead.

Jayden Waddle returns to game after chest injury

Tyreek Hill is already out with an ankle injury, and then Jaylen Waddle went into the medical tent minutes into the Jets game. Waddle was listed as questionable to return with a chest injury, but he's now back in the game.

Catch of the day?!

We might have the catch of the day ... nine minutes into game action! Check out this grab from Saquon Barkley off of a broken play. Gain of 17.

Bills win after insane Chiefs TD called back

You can breathe now, Bills fans. Your season is still alive. But it was oh so close to another heartbreaking loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

On second-and-10 from the Bills 49-yard line with about 90 seconds to go, Mahomes found Travis Kelce for a big gain down the right side. But instead of trying to run through the three defenders around him, Kelce cocked him arm back and delivered a laser of a lateral -- while on the run -- to Kadarius Toney, who ran the final 25 yards into the end zone for the go-ahead score. Chiefs lead ... right?

Not so fast. The referees called an offsides penalty on Toney for lining up in the neutral zone, which you can see below:

Kansas City now faced a second-and-15, and you could tell the spirits of everyone at Arrowhead Stadium were deflated. Mahomes' next pass was incomplete, as was his third-down throw. With one last chance, Mahomes' attempt once again fell to the ground, sealing the Chiefs' second-straight loss.

Mahomes is a very calm and collected player, yet he was as mad as I could remember seeing him after Kansas City turned the ball over on downs. Not even his teammates or coaches could contain his frustration.

The Chiefs are now 8-5 and just one game up on the Broncos, who beat Kansas City the first time the two teams played. The Bills, meanwhile, are one of six teams at 7-6 with four weeks left in the regular season. They're currently 11th in the AFC, but could easily jump into a wild-card spot if they can keep this momentum going against the Cowboys, Chargers, Patriots and Dolphins to end the year.

Bills take lead on FG

Tyler Bass put Buffalo ahead with a 39-yard field goal with 1:54 to play. Your move, Patrick Mahomes.

Broncos finish off Chargers

The Chargers had a glimmer of hope down, 17-7, with about three minutes to play, but that hope vanished on Russell Wilson's play-action fake that fooled the entire defense. As the Chargers came up to stop the run, Wilson lofted a pass to Adam Trautman with absolutely no one around for the 10-yard touchdown. Denver will move to 7-6, while Los Angeles will fall to 5-8.

Vikings win

Usually, for dramatic finishes, I'll put the subhead in all CAPS. This is an exception. Three total points doesn't deserve caps, even though the Vikings beat the Raiders in dramatic fashion. Minnesota went up with a field goal with fewer than two minutes later, and then, almost immediately, it intercepted Aidan O'Connell, all but sealing the victory.

POINTS

It took 48 minutes and 3 seconds, but we finally have points in Vikings-Raiders. Replacing the benched Joshua Dobbs, Nick Mullens led Minnesota deep enough into Las Vegas territory that Greg Joseph was able to convert a 36-yard field goal.

Chiefs-Bills tied up

Gear up for a dramatic final 11 minutes, as the Chiefs tied the game at 17 with a field goal. The Bills jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but Kansas City has hung tough. Now it's about who will make plays in the final moments.

Brawl in San Francisco leads to ejections

Following Fred Warner's interception, which essentially ended the game, DK Metcalf ignited a brawl by throwing the 49ers linebacker to the ground. Warner actually pitched the ball to Dre Greenlaw before getting slammed, so play continued. But at the scene, Warner pushed Metcalf, and then the two met face to face. Metcalf grabbed Warner's face mask and wouldn't let go. Once Greenlaw went down to end the play, the skirmish grew around Warner and Metcalf, resulting in several flags. For their actions, Metcalf and 49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir were ejected with the Seahawks down, 28-16, with two minutes to play.

Game on in Kansas City

It feels like the Bills have controlled the game from the onset, yet they only lead by three after Patrick Mahomes found Rashee Rice for the four-yard touchdown. Buffalo leads 17-14 entering the fourth quarter.

10 TDs for Sutton

We should just rename the "You Got Mossed' catch phrase to "You got Suttoned," because it seems like every touchdown Courtland Sutton scores, he's leaping over a defensive back to do so. His 46-yard snag on a Russell Wilson moon ball increased the Broncos' advantage to 17-0.

49ers NOT in trouble

I wrote minutes ago that the 49ers may be in trouble. I'll gladly admit I was wrong. The 49ers just responded to a Seahawks touchdown with one of their own ... just 76 seconds later. The Seattle defense let George Kittle run right by it, and Brock Purdy hit his tight end in stride. From there, Kittle eluded one defended and streaked into the end zone for a 44-yard score.

49ers in trouble?

Watch out for the Seahawks, who are within five points entering the fourth quarter. Kenneth Walker III's impressive individual effort appeared to ignite the Seattle offense, which just scored on a 25-yard pass from Drew Lock to Cody Parkinson.

Deebo does it himself

Deebo Samuel made a great catch-and-run to set up the 49ers at the one-yard line of the Seahawks. So, Kyle Shanahan rewarded his star offensive playmaker by running a jet sweep for him the next play. Samuel scooted around left end and easily found the end zone to put San Fransisco up 21-10.

Justin Herbert ruled out with finger injury

The Chargers have had a forgettable season, and it just got even worse. After taking a hit from Zach Allen towards the end of the first half, Justin Herbert was forced to leave the game with a finger injury. He was initially ruled as questionable to return but was later downgraded to out. Easton Stick, a 2019 fifth-round pick out of North Dakota State, is in at QB for Los Angeles.

Still scoreless!

It appeared as thought someone would FINALLY score after Hunter Renfrow's 38-yard catch-and-run set up the Raiders at the Vikings 11-yard line. That was not to be, and Renfrow was the reason why. Working his way up field after catching a screen pass, Renfrow lost the ball as he was falling to the ground. Minnesota recovered to keep the game knotted at 0.

McKinnon cuts Bills' lead in half

With Isiah Pacheco out with an injury, it's the Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire show in the Chiefs backfield. Despite being seen as the pass-catching back, it was McKinnon who received the goal line carry up the middle and found his way into the end zone from seven yards out. Huge score for the Chiefs before the break.

Justin Jefferson taken to local hospital after chest injury

Justin Jefferson, playing his first game since Week 5, went to the locker room after suffering a chest injury in the first half against the Raiders. The Vikings star wideout was initially listed as questionable, but was later ruled out. He has been taken to a local hospital out of precaution, per the Fox broadcast.

Historically bad offensive football

There's bad, and then there's the first halves of games between the Jets and Texans and the Vikings and Raiders. Both matchups entered the break scoreless, marking the first time that's happened on the same day since Oct. 30, 1988, per the Fox broadcast (via Pro Football Talk).

New York and Houston had an excuse, as the weather was terrible in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The teams also combined for 36 points in the second half as the Jets won, 30-6. Minnesota and Las Vegas, meanwhile, are playing in great conditions at Allegiant Stadium. As for second-half points, that remains to be seen. But with Joshua Dobbs and Aidan O'Connell facing off, don't expect offensive fireworks.

DEEBO

Midway through the second quarter, backup QB Drew Lock and the Seahawks had a lead on the mighty 49ers. In one play, that all changed. With a perfect pocket around him, Brock Purdy patiently waited until Deebo Samuel ran past the Seahawks defenders. He then delivered a dime into the arms of a streaking Samuel, who waltzed into the end zone for the 54-yard score.

Bills beating up on Chiefs

With their backs against the wall, the Bills have come to play Sunday. They've got a 14-0 lead over the Chiefs thanks to Josh Allen, who threw a touchdown to James Cook and then ran one in himself.

RAVENS WIN

It was only fitting that a sensational game ended in a sensational way.

Backup punt returner Tylan Wallace. 76 yards. Walk-off touchdown. Ball game. Ravens beat the Rams, 37-31.

Chargers turn over Broncos, turn it over on downs

Michael Davis gave the Chargers a great chance to open the scoring after he ripped the ball away from rookie Marvin Mims Jr. for the interception. Unfortunately for Los Angeles, it did nothing with the great field position. Four plays, seven yards, no points, Denver ball.

Bills pick Mahomes

The Bills desperately need this win, and they're off to solid start with A.J. Epenesa intercepting Patrick Mahomes on the game's opening drive. Unfortunately for Buffalo, it couldn't do anything of note with the ball in Kansas City territory and was forced to punt.

Overtime in Baltimore!

The final minutes between the Rams and Ravens were insane! With eight minutes to play, the Rams had the ball trailing by one. Then Matthew Stafford went to work, hitting Davis Allen for 21 yards, Puka Nacua for 23 and Cooper Kupp for 12. Two plays later, Stafford located DeMarcus Robinson in the end zone for the five-yard TD to go up five with less than five minutes to go.

Now it was Lamar Jackson's turn, and he delivered a massive 13-play, 75-yard drive capped by a TD to Zay Flowers on third-and-17! On the two-point conversion, it was Flowers again. 31-28 Baltimore.

However, that was too much time for Stafford and the Rams. They actually had a chance to win the game with a touchdown, but a few incompletions set up a 36-yard field goal from Lucas Havrisik. He drilled it, sending the game to overtime in Baltimore.

Perfect start for the 49ers. First play: 72-yard run from Christian McCaffrey. Second play: three-yard touchdown run for Jordan Mason. Seahawks already down 7-0.
