Oilers forward Taylor Hall had to leave Friday's game against the Calgary Flames after he was on the receiving end of a crushing hit from defenseman Cory Sarich along the boards less than two minutes into the first period of their game.

It was an unfortunate situation as Hall lost an edge along the boards going for the puck, falling directly in front of Sarich's elbow as he was in the process of delivering the hit.

In 60 games this season Hall has scored 27 goals and recorded 26 assists. He missed time earlier in the year after he was hit in the face by a teammates skate during pregame warmups against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
