    Sifers produced two assists and 24 PIM over 37 games between the Maple Leafs and Wild from 2008-10. He eventually went on to play in a German league and returned to North America, jumping around the AHL circuit.

  • Blue Jackets' Jaime Sifers: Goes on waivers

    Sifers was waived by the Blue Jackets on Friday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.

    Sifers, a University of Vermont product, spent the last two seasons in the AHL following a three-year stint playing in the DEL in Germany. During the 2015-16 campaign, the defenseman logged 19 points and 86 PIM before adding another five helpers during the Calder Cup playoffs. Given his age, it seems unlikely the 33-year-old will find an NHL team willing to give him a significant enough role to make him relevant to fantasy owners.
