Miika Wiikman: Announces retirement
Wiikman will hang up his skates due to a lingering injury suffered back in 2018-19, he announced via social media.
Following a three-year stint in North America in which he split time between the AHL and ECHL, Wiikman returned to Finland before making stops in Slovakia, England and finally France. The netminder won the EIHL Cup with the Nottingham Panthers in 2015-16 and followed that up with a Continental Cup Championship in 2016-17.
