  • Lightning's Patrick Sieloff: Dished to Tampa Bay

Sieloff was traded to the Lightning from Anaheim for Chris Mueller on Monday.

Sieloff never suited up in an NHL game for the Ducks after coming over in a trade from the Senators in February. Sieloff has spent most of his time in the AHL, where he's collected 49 points in 290 games to go along with a minus-49 rating in his minor league career. The 25-year-old has two goals in two career NHL games.

  • Ducks' Patrick Sieloff: Traded to Ducks

Sieloff was sent to Anaheim from Ottawa for Brian Gibbons, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.

This is probably a year overdue for Sieloff, who never really got a shot in Ottawa ever since he delivered a blow to Senators winger Clarke MacArthur in a 2016 scrimmage, which served as the beginning of the end of MacArthur's career. Moving to Anaheim gives him a chance to put the past behind him and possibly build his career. The 24-year-old has nine points in 45 games for AHL Belleville, and will likely complete the rest of season with AHL San Diego.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Inks two-year extension

Sieloff signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the Senators on Tuesday.

Sieloff competed mainly in the ECHL last season, compiling 11 points -- three goals and eight assists -- over 47 games. The 24-year-old blueliner made one appearance with the Senators in 2017-18 and managed to notch a goal, but he also recorded a minus-2 rating in the contest. He will likely begin 2018-19 in the minors as well, but he could surface in the NHL at some point in the campaign should the need arise.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Shipped off to minors

Sieloff was demoted to AHL Belleville on Wednesday.

Sieloff's reassignment could be an indication that Erik Karlsson (personal) will be rejoining the team prior to Thursday's clash with Edmonton. In the meantime, the 23-year-old Sieloff will return to the minors, where he has notched six points in 47 outings this season.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Promoted to top level

Sieloff was called up from AHL Belleville on Tuesday.

Sieloff hasn't played in an NHL game since his league debut with the Flames in 2015-16. However, he does have appeal as Calgary's second-round (42nd overall) pick from the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-olds value is directly tied to the health of star defenseman Erik Karlsson, who is dealing with an illness that kept him from practicing Monday.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Placed on waivers

The Senators waived Sieloff on Friday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

The Senators have a ton of depth at defense, so this move was expected. The 2012 second-round pick will likely spend the entirety of the 2017-18 campaign with AHL Belleville.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Signs on for another year

Sieloff signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old blueliner's entry-level contract just expired with only one NHL game to show for it. It should be said that he was able to score in that appearance, but otherwise, Sieloff has spent most of his time with AHL clubs. He's played in 104 AHL games over the past two seasons, posting four goals and 19 assists while adding 147 PIM and a minus-21 rating. Ottawa lost defenseman Marc Methot to Vegas in the expansion draft, which does increase Sieloff's chances of making NHL appearances this coming season. Still, the Senators have a solid defensive corps, so he'll probably bounce between the AHL and NHL as injuries dictate.

  • Senators' Patrick Sieloff: Traded to Ottawa

Sieloff was acquired from Calgary on Monday by the Senators in exchange for Alex Chiasson.

Sieloff scored a goal in his only NHL game this past season, as he spent the bulk of the campaign in the AHL. Originally draft in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft, the blueliner managed 11 points this year. With Chiasson a possibility to leave via free agency, Sieloff was apparently the best that Ottawa could get in return.

  • Flames' Patrick Sieloff: Headed to AHL

The Flames have assigned Sieloff to AHL Stockton.

In his NHL debut in Saturday's 2-1 triumph over Minnesota, Sieloff scored his first NHL goal, which turned out to the game-winner. In 48 AHL games this season, Sieloff has recorded just two goals and 11 points, with the the 21-year-old protecting as a stay-at-home type blueliner for the big club down the road.

  • Flames' Patrick Sieloff: Gets go-ahead goal in first NHL game

Sieloff scored the go-ahead goal in his NHL debut Saturday against the Wild.

It came on a bad bounce -- he chipped the puck toward the net and it ricocheted over Darcy Keumper's glove and into the net. But that doesn't matter -- Sieloff's story of his first goal will become folklore in a few short years. He's a tough, stay-at-home type, so he'll be more valuable on the ice than in the fantasy.

  • Flames' Patrick Sieloff: Recalled by Flames

Sieloff was recalled from AHL Stockton on Friday

The 21-year-old blueliner hasn't had much of an offensive impact with the minor league club, collecting just five points over 48 games with the club. Sieloff could make his NHL debut Saturday due to a multitude of Flames defensive injuries, but that will be determined on game day. Either way, he shouldn't have much of a fantasy impact.
