  • Panthers' Serron Noel: Trying to find game in OHL

Noel scored twice to help lead OHL Oshawa to a 5-2 win over Guelph on Sunday. It's been a slow start to the season for Noel. He does have 11 goals in his first 21 games, but his assist total (10) is way down and as a result his overall production has taken a hit. Noel has fired just 39 shots on goal in those 21 contests. By comparison, he finished last season with a whopping 177 shots in 68 games. With many of the league's best players off at their respective World Junior training camps, this would seem like a prime time for Noel to find his game.

  • Panthers' Serron Noel: Back in juniors for final season

Noel was among the roster cuts made Saturday as the Panthers continue through preseason, sending him back to OHL Oshawa. This will be Noel's fourth and final season in the OHL, as next year he will be old enough to play in the AHL. The Panthers' second-round pick in 2018, Noel broke out last year scoring 81 points in 68 games for Oshawa. The 19-year-old didn't make it too far into preseason this year, but next year will have a real opportunity to make the Panthers roster.

  • Panthers' Serron Noel: Inks entry-level deal

Noel signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Panthers on Friday. Selected by the Panthers with the 34th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Noel is having a career year in juniors, as the 18-year-old has racked up 75 points in 62 games with OHL Oshawa. The team will likely make a decision during training camp on whether to send the winger back to juniors or let him cut his teeth in the minors.

  • Panthers' Serron Noel: Racking up points in OHL

Noel picked up three assists in OHL Oshawa's 5-2 win over Kingston on Tuesday. Noel finished the contest a plus-3 and picked up a fighting major for good measure. A physical specimen who is still learning the finer nuances of the sport, Noel now has 22 goals and 50 points in 37 contests this season for the Generals. While his floor remains relatively low, there is little doubt the 2018 second-rounder has one of the highest ceilings in the Florida system.
