The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand beginning on Thursday and all eyes will be on the United States Women's National Team. The Americans have won the last two FIFA Women's World Cups and they'll be seeking a fifth world title in nine tries in 2023. The USWNT will begin play on Friday night in Group E against Vietnam, with kickoff scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.

The USWNT are the +225 favorites to win it all in the latest 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup odds from Caesars Sportsbook. They're followed by England (+375), Germany (+650), Spain (+700) and France (+800), while co-hosts Australia and New Zealand are at +1200 and +15000, respectively. Before locking in any 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup picks, you need to see what SportsLine's soccer insider Martin Green has to say

Top 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup predictions

Green is backing hosts Australia to reach the quarterfinals for a -105 payout. The hosting nation is coming off a strong fourth-place finish at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (held in 2021) and they've managed to make it out of the group stage in each of their last four appearances in the Women's World Cup.

That includes a trio of quarterfinal appearances during that span, and with Sam Kerr leading the Matildas, they feel like the ceiling is higher than ever. Kerr is a 29-year-old striker who is widely considered to be among the best players in the world. She'll wear the captain's armband with 63 goals in 121 international appearances.

Australia will have Ireland, Canada and Nigeria to contend with in Group B, where they are -200 favorites to win the group and have -1000 odds to qualify for the knockout rounds. A win in Group B would likely see them playing Denmark in the Round of 16, a team they beat 3-1 in a friendly in Denmark late last year. See Green's other 2023 Women's World Cup picks at SportsLine.
