WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Drew McIntyre costs Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes the undisputed WWE tag team titles

McIntyre interfered in the main event, leaving Judgment Day as the undisputed tag champs

Ahead of their War Games match with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins at Survivor Series, Judgment Day appeared to have set themselves up to lose the undisputed WWE tag team titles during Raw on Monday night. Instead, the group was saved by the intervention of an unlikely ally.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest were on the verge of losing the titles to Rhodes and Uso for a second time when Drew McIntyre appeared. Despite McIntyre showing respect to Rollins earlier in the show, the Scot interfered in the main event, drilling Uso with a Claymore that ensured Judgment Day would remain tag champs.

Drew McIntyre costs Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso the tag titles

Cody Rhodes opened the show with a brief promo, promising to win the undisputed WWE tag team titles with Jey Uso later in the night. Rhodes then brought out the three men he will team with inside War Games at Survivor Series: Uso, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins. Rhodes and Rollins shared a brief staredown, calling back to their past rivalry, before Judgment Day and JD McDonagh interrupted. After both sides took turn taking digs at each other, Rollins snapped and challenged McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio to face himself and Zayn in a tag match.

Sami Zayn & Seth Rollins def. JD McDonagh & Dominik Mysterio via disqualification. McDonagh and Mysterio tried to leave mid-match as they'd lost momentum but were chased down and brought back to the ring. Rollins eventually had Mysterio down after a buckle bomb and was setting up for a stomp only for Finn Balor and Damian Priest to run in and attack for the disqualification. Rhodes and Uso ran out to make the save, resulting in a wild brawl that brought security and WWE officials out to try and restore order. Adam Pearce then announced that everyone not in the tag title match would be banned from the arena by the time the match began.

After a commercial break, Rhea Ripley berated Pearce for his decision only to be told she would also be banned during the main event. Zoey Stark came to the ring to confront Ripley, claiming Ripley's attention was too divided and she was overlooking Stark. Ripley said she was not overlooking Stark at all but that Stark would only ever be champion if she left Raw for SmackDown.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship -- The Judgment Day (c) def. Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes via pinfall after interference from Drew McIntyre. McIntyre confronted Seth Rollins earlier in the night, offering respect and shaking Rollins' hand for winning at Crown Jewel. Despite that, as Rodes and Uso seemed to have the match in hand, McIntyre made his way to ringside before hitting Uso with a Claymore and rolling him back in the ring for Balor to cover for the win.

Raw has felt tight and very focused in recent weeks. That's obviously a good thing. McIntyre interfering was a smart move because it played against Judgment Day's numbers advantage being lost by Pearce's ruling. Another Monday night, another wrestling-focused episode of Raw. It's hard to be mad at that. Grade: A-

• Shinsuke Nakamura def. Otis via pinfall after three Kinshasas. Chad Gable was held back by Alpha Academy as he attempted to get at Nakamura after the match.
• Tegan Nox def. Piper Niven via pinfall with a crucifix pin.
• Ludwig Kaiser def. Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall with a schoolboy pin.
• Xia Li def. Indi Hartwell via stoppage after landing several kicks. After the match, Becky Lynch came to the ring to try and fight Li, but Li rolled out and walked away. Lynch then announced that she already secured a match with Li next Monday.
• The Miz def. Ivar via pinfall after moving out of the way of a splash. Miz also had his feet on the ropes, building momentum to his match at Survivor Series with intercontinental champion Gunther.
