Many throughout the SEC were furious when Jim Harbaugh went on his satellite camp tour in 2016, tearing through the southeast and posting up in Florida on high school campuses with his Michigan staff. New NCAA rules were passed requiring camps to be on college campuses, but that won't stop Harbaugh from getting into the Sunshine State this summer to evaluate the local talent.
His ticket to ride? New FAU coach (and former Alabama offensive coordinator) Lane Kiffin.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Michigan is one of the five Power Five schools already committed to FAU's camp on June 5. The Wolverines are on the bill along with Oregon, Vanderbilt, Illinois and Arkansas. FAU Owl Access reports that Tennessee, the school Kiffin left in the dust after just one season to take the USC job, will be sending coaches as well.
Of course, Kiffin isn't singling out Michigan or Harbaugh here with other Power Five schools already committed for a camp later in June including Miami, Mississippi State, NC State, Louisville, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Arizona State and Indiana.
But considering the stir created by Harbaugh and satellite camps over the last few years, it's going to draw headlines anytime the Wolverines step back into SEC territory, especially at Kiffin's invitation.
