SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Brandon Carroll scored 23 points and Bryant, which nearly blew an 18-point second-half lead, upset Mount St. Mary's 79-77 on Saturday, snapping a nine-game losing streak.

The Bulldogs (3-24, 2-12 Northeast) led by seven with 42 seconds left but seven free throws from Junior Robinson and Chris Wray's tip-in had the Mountaineers (15-12, 9-5) trailing by two with four seconds remaining. Bryant's Bosko Kostur missed the second of two free throws and Mount St. Mary's, after a timeout, got the ball to Robinson who flipped it at the basket from 3-point range as he fell but it went off the front of the rim.

Ikenna Ndugba and Tanner Johnson, with five 3-pointers, added 17 points each for Bryant.

Robinson scored 30 points and moved into the top five in the Mountaineers' career scoring list at 1,771. Wray added 21 for Mount St. Mary's, which had a five-game win streak snapped.
