George Mason is working on a deal to name Dave Paulsen as the next coach of the men's basketball program, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com College Basketball Insider Gary Parrish.
Paulsen spent the last seven seasons as the coach for Bucknell where he earned 134 wins. The Bison finished the 2014-15 season at 19-15 with a 13-5 conference record in the Patriot League. During the 2012-13 season, Paulsen led the Bison to the most wins (28) in school history.
A press conference is expected to be held Wednesday to introduce Paulsen as the next coach for the Patriots. Paulsen will replace Paul Hewitt who was fired after going 9-22 during the 2014-15 season.
