A rivalry renewed between Duke and UNLV brings a lot of anticipation. The last time these two rivals played was 1991 -- when Duke knocked Jerry Tarkanian's UNLV out of the Final Four en route to Mike Krzyzewski's first national championship. When Grant Hill was a freshman!

UNLV isn't the same school it was under Tarkanian. But a game between the Runnin' Rebels and the Blue Devils is still a highly anticipated rivalry contest with plenty of intrigue.

Here is how you can watch the game, both on TV and online. Additionally, we make a pick for the game and point out some key matchups to watch for the game.

Scouting report

The Blue Devils are looking every bit the team that many projected in the preseason, especially after welcoming Jayson Tatum and Marques Bolden back to the lineup. UNLV is a relatively young team after losing several starters from last season. The Rebels aren't filling those spots with McDonald's All-Americans like Duke is. But sophomore guard Jalen Poyser has helped the Runnin' Rebels take a step forward this season by leading the team with 17.5 points per game.

Matchup to watch

Duke loves the 3-point shot, and UNLV hasn't done a good job defending it this season. The last three games UNLV allowed opponents to shoot 43.7 percent from behind the arc. Arizona hit 18-of-36 vs. UNLV, so that's a major weakness that Duke could exploit. The Blue Devils are shooting 36 percent from 3-point range, including greater than 40 percent in their two most recent games.

Additionally, Duke has a supreme size advantage in the frontcourt. UNLV ranks 281st nationally in shots blocked, and facing one of the deepest frontlines in the country with Blden, Tatum and Amile Jefferson, Marques Bolden. A guy to keep an eye on in this one is reserve forward Chase Jeter. The Las Vegas native is coming back to his stomping grounds, so we could see a motivated performance from him in his return.

Odds and pick

SportsLine projection: Duke 85, UNLV 70

SportsLine: Duke favored by 20.5

Pick: UNLV +20.5

UNLV will be motivated to protect their home floor with Duke rolling into town. It's a Saturday game, so if the Runnin' Rebels can keep it close, I think the crowd could be a factor in this one. I think Duke pulls away in the second half but UNLV will cover the spread.
