The Stanford Cardinal and the Wyoming Cowboys will compete for holiday cheer at 5 p.m. ET Wednesday at SimpliFI Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Cowboys will be strutting in after a win while Stanford will be stumbling in from a loss.

Stanford came up short against the Texas Longhorns on Sunday, falling 60-53. Forward Harrison Ingram (15 points) was the top scorer for Stanford.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between Wyoming and the Utah Valley Wolverines last week was still a pretty decisive one as Wyoming wrapped it up with a 74-62 victory at home. Wyoming got double-digit scores from five players: guard Xavier DuSell (16), guard Drake Jeffries (15), forward Graham Ike (13), guard Brendan Wenzel (12), and guard Hunter Maldonado (10).

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Cardinal are expected to win a tight contest. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Sunday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

Stanford is now 6-4 while Wyoming sits at 9-1. Wyoming has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 15th fewest takeaways in college basketball, having accrued only 10.7 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
