Nearly wholesale changes on both sides of the ball have left Arizona State with little experience in coach Todd Graham’s first season. That inexperience should lead to plenty of touches for the few returning veterans like RB Cameron Marshall and WR/KR Jamal Miles.

Both etched their names in the record book last season and they have a chance to do it again. Here are three Sun Devils marks that could fall this season.

Career rushing touchdowns
Record holder: Woody Green (1971-73), 43
Record chaser: Cameron Marshall
Marshall tied the single-season rushing TD record -- held by Green and Terry Battle -- last season with 18 despite playing on a bum ankle, knee and hamstring. Imagine what he can do if he can remain healthy, which is a big if since he's already battling a hamstring. Coach Todd Graham has said he’d like to use Marshall often in goal-line situations. He could be a fantasy football dream -- ahem, if people did that sort of thing with colleges. Marshall needs 15 rushing TDs to set the mark, which seems attainable.

All-purpose yards, season
Record holder: Wilford “Whizzer” White (1950) 2,065
Record chaser: Jamal Miles

Miles had 1,618 all-purpose yards last season between receiving, rushing and punt and kick return duties. With ASU’s top three leading receivers (in yardage) having graduated, the Sun Devils plan to get the ball in Miles’ hands often. Miles could also break the single-season kickoff return yardage mark. He already owns the school marks for kickoff returns for TDs in a season (2, 2011) and career (3).

Average punting yards, season
Record holder: Stephen Baker (1998) 45.7
Record chaser: Josh Hubner
Hubner’s 2011 season average of 41.3 yards may not be impressive, but it’s important to remember that 24 of Hubner’s 62 punts were downed inside opponents’ 20-yard line Last season. Former coach Dennis Erickson employed Hubner’s skill in this area a lot, and Graham may as well, but Hubner has a big leg -- a point Graham noted over and over in spring ball. If the situations are right, he has the ability to break the mark.
