Who's Playing

Arizona @ Arizona State

Current Records: Arizona 1-10; Arizona State 7-4

What to Know

The Arizona Wildcats haven't won a matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils since Nov. 25 of 2016, but they'll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Wildcats and ASU will face off in a Pac-12 battle at 4 p.m. ET at Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Arizona has to be hurting after a devastating 44-18 defeat at the hands of the Washington State Cougars last Friday. Arizona was down 37-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. No one had a standout game offensively for Arizona, but they got scores from RB Michael Wiley and WR Boobie Curry.

Meanwhile, ASU came up short against the Oregon State Beavers last week, falling 24-10. The Sun Devils' only offensive touchdown came from RB DeaMonte Trayanum.

The Wildcats are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 6-3 against the spread when expected to lose.

The losses put Arizona at 1-10 and ASU at 7-4. Two stats to keep an eye on: Arizona is stumbling into the game with the 247th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown 17 on the season. ASUs have had an even harder time: they are 176th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown nine on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
