What to Know

The Boise State Broncos are 4-1 against the New Mexico Lobos since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Boise State and New Mexico will face off in a Mountain West battle at 9 p.m. ET at Albertsons Stadium. The Broncos should still be riding high after a win, while the Lobos will be looking to right the ship.

Boise State was able to grind out a solid victory over the Wyoming Cowboys last Friday, winning 23-13. No one had a standout game offensively for Boise State, but they got scores from RB Andrew Van Buren and TE Riley Smith.

Special teams collected 11 points for Boise State. K Jonah Dalmas delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Meanwhile, the Lobos were expected to have a tough go of it last week, and, well, they did. They have to be aching after a bruising 34-7 loss to the Fresno State Bulldogs. New Mexico was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 24 to nothing. New Mexico's defeat came about despite a quality game from RB Aaron Dumas, who rushed for one TD and 143 yards on 23 carries. Dumas' longest run was for 63 yards in the first quarter.

The Broncos are the favorite in this one, with an expected 27.5-point margin of victory. Those burned by picking them against the spread last Friday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

Boise State is now 6-4 while the Lobos sit at 3-7. Two offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Boise State is stumbling into the game with the 189th fewest rushing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 111.4 on average. New Mexico has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 230th worst in the nation in passing yards per game, with only 126.2 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
