Back in January, FCS Coastal Carolina announced that it would the join the ranks of teams with team-tinted artificial turf by installing a teal field at Brooks Stadium.
And if that announcement already made fans of the teal boom of the 1990s happy, the photos released on the Chanticleers' Twitter feed Thursday and Friday should have them positively giddy:

The San Jose Sharks hat I randomly bought at the mall in sixth grade because TEEEEAAAAAAALLLLL thinks this is an absolutely great idea.
(And, actually, so do I. You're Coastal Carolina -- what reason do you really have not to lay down your own unique turf, especially when it's close enough in hue to grass that you don't have the gaudiness factor of, say, Eastern Washington's field of blood?)
