UCLA kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn made school history Thursday night with a 60-yard field goal just before time expired in the first half against Cal. It was the first 60-yard field goal in an FBS game since 2012, which is impressive, but history was made because of a Bruins error.

UCLA's offense had done a good job to move the ball into scoring range, setting up Fairbairn (real full name: John Christian Ka'iminoeauloameka'ikeokekumupa'a Fairbairn) with a 55-yard kick. The first kick was good, but a penalty moved the Bruins back 5 yards and forced Fairbairn to kick again.
