I will say it and it will stand the test of time: Nobody in college football does alternate uniforms and helmets better than the service academies. Nobody. 

Air Force crushed it with its "Flying Tigers" concept helmet last season. This year, the program unveiled its "Airpower Legacy Series" helmet design with a nod to the F-35 Lightning II. 

According to a release from the school, the lids are modeled after the helmet that F-35 pilots wear in flight. There will be five designs for the helmet this year. The accompanying uniform will be released at a later date. On one side of the helmet is the Air Force logo. On the other, there will be five different decals representing the five F-35-A operational fighter squadrons. The rest of the designs will be unveiled throughout the week.
