Rosales had his contract selected by the Padres on Sunday, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The 32-year-old Rosales has bounced around for the majority of his MLB career, most recently playing 111 total games for the Rangers between 2014 and 2015. He'll make the Opening Day roster as a utility infielder, but steady playing time is not a guarantee.
