Manager Andy Green indicated Thursday that Tatis (hamstring) isn't likely to return from the 10-day injured list during the Padres' ongoing homestand, which concludes May 22, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.

The young shortstop is still working his way back from a hamstring strain and hasn't been cleared to sprint at 100 percent. Given the importance of speed to Tatis' success in the field and on the bases, the Padres probably won't offer up a return date for the rookie until he no longer has any limitations in his running program. Tatis should be able to gradually ratchet up his baseball activities in the coming days before potentially rejoining San Diego before the end of May.
