The 2019 Fantasy Football Referral Program ("Referral Program") is only open to participant(s) ("Participant(s)") who: (i) is a registered user of CBSSports.com; (ii) member of an existing 2019 CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner league ("League"); and (iii) refers a friend (the "Referred") who both creates and pays for a new League, using Participant's unique URL, at the Discount (as defined below), by November 1, 2019. Both Participant and the Referred must keep their League active until the end of the NFL season in order for the Participant to be eligible to receive a referral reward in the amount of One Hundred Dollars (US$100.00) (the "Reward(s)"). The Referral Program starts on May 1st, 2019 and runs through November 1, 2019 (the "Referral Period").
Participants may not refer themselves, nor can they pay for the League of the Referred.
One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) Reward: All eligible Participants in the Referral Program are eligible to receive a Reward for each successful referral.
Discount: Participant's Referred(s) are eligible to receive a one-time Thirty Dollar ($30.00) discount (the "Discount"), to purchase a new League, from its regular price of One Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and Ninety-Nine Cents ($179.99), during the Referral Period. The Discount is only valid for new Leagues. Discount cannot be applied to a previously purchased 2019 League. Offer cannot be combined with any other offers, including Prepay and Early Bird. To receive a Discount the Referred must be at least thirteen (13) years old, be a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia, must purchase the League via the unique URL link sent by Participant and purchase through the Fantasy Football Commissioner Referral page. The League is subject to the CBSSports.com Commissioner Terms of Use, incorporated herein by reference.
Referral Program is void where prohibited by law. Referral Program may be terminated or modified at any time without notice.
Entering the Referral Program
In order for Participants, to participate in the Referral Program, once a Participants' League is paid, the Participant will need to access their paid League via the "My Teams" page (accessible at http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/games/my-teams/). To get started, the Participant will need to click on the link to their League and once in the League, click on the Referral Program advertisement link located at the top of the League homepage in order to go to the invite page. From there, the Participant will be able to send email invites to friends. Participant must let friends know that by purchasing a League via Participant's unique URL, Participant will receive the Reward; not alerting friends about the Reward can disqualify Participant from receiving such Reward. Participants can keep track of their referrals via the "Referral Tracker" page. Participants will be notified, via the red message banner at the top of their League's home page, of any accrued Rewards, after the completion of the NFL season. Participants who have accrued Rewards will be required to sign and return, within ninety (90) days of issuance, the Affidavit of Eligibility and a 1099 tax form (if applicable). Participants who fail to return such documents within the specified time period will forfeit their Reward. After completion and receipt of such documents, Participants will receive their Reward.
Any referral that does not comply with the terms of this Referral Program will be rejected. Any inquiries regarding this Referral Program must be made within 6 months of the expiration date of the Referral Period. In order to redeem the Reward, Participants must comply with the requirements stated herein and the Commissioner Terms of Use. Void where prohibited by law. There is no limit to the number of referrals a Participant can send. Participants that accumulate over Six Hundred Dollars (US$600.00) in Rewards through this Referral Program will receive an IRS form 1099 for their taxes. Taxes are the responsibility of the Participant. In the event that the individual is a minor, their parent or legal guardian will be responsible for taxes and for signing the Affidavit of Eligibility. The Referral Program may be modified at any time without notice.
CBSSports.com, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any Participant from participation in or use of any or all portions of this Referral Program and/or refuse to redeem the Reward, if entrant engages in any conduct CBSSports.com, in its sole discretion, deems to be improper, unfair or otherwise adverse to the operation of the Referral Program or detrimental to other entrants of the Referral Program.
WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS REFERRAL PROGRAM MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CBSSPORTS.COM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
