Maualuga (fibula) has officially been ruled out for Monday's matchup versus the Giants, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.
This news is relatively unsurprising, as Maualuga figured to be a long shot to play. It will be the veteran's first absence this season. Vincent Rey will presumably take over middle linebacker duties while Maualuga is sidelined.
