Kirkland was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Saturday.
Kirkland was once again a healthy scratch Saturday versus the Hurricanes. The 27-year-old may not be shuttled between the NHL and AHL if Adam Ruzicka, who was claimed on waivers from Calgary earlier in the week, can get his immigration paperwork settled prior to the Coyotes' next game Feb. 8 versus the Golden Knights.
