Kahkonen (undisclosed) left Sunday's game against Nashville in the first period, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Kahkonen stopped four of five shots before leaving the ice with a trainer. The 27-year-old was replaced by Jake Allen. An update on Kahkonen should be available before Tuesday's tilt with Toronto.
