Kahkonen (lower body) "isn't doing great" after leaving Sunday's game against Nashville, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Kahkonen left after facing just five shots Sunday and the early reports don't sound particularly positive. He'll likely undergo additional testing before the team has a clearer update ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Toronto.
