Gabriel announced his retirement in a social media post Monday.
Gabriel played in 51 games over the course of his five-year NHL career for the Wild, Devils, Sharks and Blackhawks. Select by Minnesota in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft, the Ontario native notched two goals, three assists and 153 PIM in those 51 contests.
