Andersen agreed to a deal Thursday with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg of the KHL.

Andersen spent just one season in North America, registering 14 points in 69 outings for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The 28-year-old's return to the KHL is a good indication that he is unlikely to suit up for an NHL team during his professional career, unless he suddenly starts putting up big numbers during the 2016-17 campaign.
