Gryba inked a professional tryout agreement with Edmonton on Tuesday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN Edmonton reports.

Gryba's 2015-16 season was cut short by a knee injury, but he appears to be ready to go for the start of training camp. The Oilers are relatively thin on the blue line, which gives the 28-year-old a solid chance to secure a permanent deal. While his offensive production is somewhat limited (six points last season), the blueliner offers value in ancillary stats such as PIM (75), hits (132) and blocked shots (78).
