  • Palmieri, who's dealing with a foot injury, has been upgraded to day-to-day, but he won't travel to Montreal for Thursday's game. The American winger officially remains on injured reserve, and we suspect that he's only day-to-day in the sense that he'll be reevaluated before each of the upcoming games this week. If possible, we advise that you hang onto Palmieri in fantasy leagues given that he's a dynamic playmaker who posted nine points (four goals, five assists) in 13 games -- with five power-play points -- ahead of this latest ailment.

  • Palmieri (foot) has been skating solo the past couple of days, but the winger won't return Friday night against the Blue Jackets, according to coach John Hynes. This is still encouraging news given that Palmieri wasn't expected to return until later this month, but he's evidently being evaluated on a day-to-day basis, even though his IR status currently remains intact for the sake of roster flexibility. The savvy veteran tacked on nine points (four goals, five assists) through 13 games before breaking his foot, and he shouldn't be dropped in fantasy given that he may not be all that far away from a return.

  • Devils' Kyle Palmieri: Suffers broken foot
    By RotoWire Staff

Palmieri broke his foot in Monday's matchup with Minnesota and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks. Palmieri had logged just six games in his return from a lower-body injury that previously sidelined him. During those half dozen outings, the winger was limited to a mere one goal and one assist, despite averaging 17:41 of ice time. While the New York native is out, talented rookie Jesper Bratt could get a look on the Devils' top line with Nico Hischier and Taylor Hall. Given the length of Palmieri's recovery timeline, he is a lock for injured reserve in order to free up a spot on the 23-man roster.

  • Devils' Kyle Palmieri: Removed from injured reserve
    By RotoWire Staff

Palmieri (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Thursday. Palmieri returns to action following a six-game absence due to his lower-body ailment. Unfortunately for Devils fans, Marcus Johansson (concussion) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. The 26-year-old Palmieri figures to slot back onto the top line alongside Nico Hischier and Taylor Hall.

  • Palmieri (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's clash with Edmonton, Andrew Gross of The Bergen Record reports. If Palmieri is given the all-clear, it would end a six-game absence dating back to Oct. 20. By activating the winger off injured reserve, the Devils would likely go back to suiting up 12 forwards and six defensemen, which could see Dalton Prout bounced from the game-day lineup. In order to clear space for the 26-year-old at some point, New Jersey is expected to place Marcus Johansson (concussion) on IR.
