  • Palmieri had an assist and three shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Bruins. Palmieri was much more engaged in this one after a quiet season debut in which he mustered just one shot. The skilled winger brought a physical edge, leading the team with five hits while also picking up a minor penalty. He's expected to lead the Devils in goals this year after scoring between 24 and 30 in each of his five previous seasons with the team.

  • Palmieri has 25 goals, 45 points and a minus-4 rating in 65 games this season. Palmieri has been one of the most consistent Devils over the last several years; he's pocketed at least 20 goals and 40 points in five straight seasons. For the third straight season, he's tallied exactly 11 power-play goals. The 29-year-old winger has a chance at his second 30-goal campaign if the NHL finishes a full 82-game schedule this year.

  • Palmieri scored two goals in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Rangers. He snapped a five-game point drought, and Palmieri has just four points (three goals, one assist) in his last 10 games. Despite the recent downturn, he has 45 points in 64 games and is closing in on his fourth 50-point season in the last five. Hopefully this two-goal outburst gets his sniping back on track.
