Huska signed a one-year contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL on Tuesday. Huska spent most of last season with AHL Hartford logging a 2.80 GAA and a .902 save percentage. The 25-year-old is an unrestricted free agent in North America, and given his age, it's possible he could play his way back into earning at least a two-way contract at some point.... See More ... Rangers' Adam Huska: Dropped to AHL
Huska was demoted to AHL Hartford on Monday, CBS Sports. Huska is buried on the postseason depth chart and the Rangers didn't need him for Monday's Game 4 loss. The 24-year-old made his NHL debut in December in which he coughed up seven goals in a loss to Colorado.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Called up from minors
Huska was recalled from AHL Hartford on Tuesday, With the Wolf Pack failing to qualify for the Calder Cup playoffs, the Rangers opted to bring Huska back up to the NHL despite already having three goalies on the roster. In his lone NHL appearance, Huska was less than impressive, giving up seven goals on 39 shots in a losing effort against Colorado. In the minors, the netminder went 10-13-5 with a .902 save percentage and will be hard-pressed to see significant NHL action next year.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Demoted to AHL

Rangers' Adam Huska: Reassigned to AHL
Huska was demoted to AHL Hartford on Thursday. Huska made his NHL debut against the Avalanche on Wednesday and was crushed for seven goals on 39 shots. Barring another goalie injury for the Rangers, the 24-year-old should spend most of his time in the minors.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Poor showing in debut
Huska allowed seven goals on 39 shots in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Avalanche. It was going to be a lot to ask of the 24-year-old to hold the Avalanche's offense at bay. Huska unraveled in the second period, allowing five straight goals to essentially decide the contest. The seventh-round pick from 2015 isn't likely to be on the Rangers' roster much longer -- Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is expected back as soon as Friday's game versus the Sabres. Even if Shesterkin isn't ready then, Huska would likely be backing up Alexandar Georgiev.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Making NHL debut
Huska will guard the home goal during Wednesday's game against the Avalanche. Huska has played well in the minors this season, maintaining a 2.20 GAA and a .924 save percentage through six appearances. The 24-year-old netminder will try to start his NHL career off with a bang by picking up a win in a tough home matchup with a Colorado club that's averaging 3.67 goals per game on the road this year, first in the NHL.... Rangers' Adam Huska: Summoned to top level
Huska was recalled from AHL Hartford on Saturday, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports. Huska has yet to make his NHL debut, which suggests he's being brought up to serve in a backup role behind Alexandar Georgiev with Igor Shesterkin dealing with a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old has been great with the Wolfpack this season, posting a .924 save percentage and 2.20 GAA in six appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Staying with Blueshirts
Huska signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, per PuckPedia. Huska served as organizational depth for the Rangers last year. He had a 2.70 GAA and an .890 save percentage while going 9-4-0 with AHL Hartford last season. He'll likely remain with Hartford in 2021-22, barring an injury to Igor Shesterkin or Alexandar Georgiev.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Off to minors
Huska was assigned to AHL Hartford on Tuesday, per CapFriendly. In a corresponding move, Igor Shesterkin (groin) was activated from injured reserve. Huska's services as the taxi squad goalie won't be needed if Shesterkin is good to go -- the former can instead resume playing with the Wolf Pack.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: On active roster
Huska was promoted from the taxi squad Sunday, according to CapFriendly. Huska continues his near-daily routine of moving between the taxi squad and active roster. He won't see any NHL action unless the Rangers suffer several injuries to goaltenders.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Jumps to active roster
Huska was promoted to the active roster Thursday, per CapFriendly. Huska swapped places with Keith Kinkaid, but that move is likely to be reversed ahead of Friday's game versus the Capitals.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: Shifts to taxi squad
Huska was designated for the taxi squad Wednesday, per CapFriendly. The roster shuffling continues. Huska isn't expected to play at the top level while Alexandar Georgiev and Keith Kinkaid are healthy, and he'll go back to minors once Igor Shesterkin (groin) is cleared.... See More ... See Less -
Rangers' Adam Huska: On active roster

Joe Fortunato@JoeFortunatoBSB20H agoThe Rangers are tied 2-2 in a series where: 1) Zibanejad, Kreider, and Panarin have been no shows. 2) The power play AND penalty kill have sucked. 3) Florida is still sort of getting a slew of bounces. Do the Rangers have to be better? SO much better. But it's not over.

Blue Line Station@BlueLineStation20H agoGame four was painful, but the Rangers remain just six wins away from the Stanley Cup. They need to win what is now a best of three. Game 5 at the Garden, Game 6 in Sunrise, and if needed, game 7 at the Garden. Win two of those, and play for the right to Lord Stanley's mug

Joe Fortunato@JoeFortunatoBSB1D agoAnywho, 2-2 going back to New York. Hard not to expect that. Rangers simply have to be better, full stop. Officiating or not, Florida has been the better team the last two games. This is why you fight for home ice advantage. Win two of the next three, with two at home

Joe Fortunato@JoeFortunatoBSB1D agoThe Wheeler penalty is 100% a penalty. So is Zibanejad getting dragged down at center ice to stop a last-minutes 2-on-1. You simply cannot call one and not the other. And yet Florida continues to get these calls and double the Rangers up on power plays

Joe Fortunato@JoeFortunatoBSB1D agoCan’t say Florida didn’t deserve that. Goal was to always split Florida but the Rangers have to be better. Zibanejad, Kreider, Panarin have to show up.
