The schedule for the 2022 Masters, from tee times to the entire TV schedule, is all set as we count down the days until the start of the championship on Thursday. One of the big storylines every year is considering the impact of the weather at Augusta National Golf Club, turning our attention to the forecast for the week in Augusta, Georgia.

Tuesday's practice round was already disrupted by heavy rain and wind, and inclement weather remained a problem Wednesday with the Par 3 Contest delayed and practice suspended just before noon ET. Whether it will resume -- and if so, when -- remains to be seen.

The good news is the forecast is calling for much drier conditions starting Friday and through the weekend.  If current projections hold, Friday and Saturday will be cool and windy with wind gusts reaching 20-25 mph. Cool, windy and dry could create issues for golfers trying to go low on those pivotal days of the championship, creating great risk-reward scenarios all over the course. But then after the storms of Wednesday and Thursday and the wind gusts on Friday and Saturday, the final round is currently setting up for beautiful conditions: a high of 68 degrees, sunny, a light breeze and no rain.

Taking note of the forecast feels particularly significant after inclement weather caused a 77-minute delay during Saturday's third round last year. When play was halted eventual champion Hideki Matsuyama was 1 under for the day and two strokes off the lead on the 11th hole. After the inclement weather cleared and play resumed, Matsuyama closed his round playing those final eight holes at 6 under par to round out a bogey-free round of 65. That run gave Matsuyama a lead he would not give up the rest of the way en route to winning his first green jacket.
