The PGA Tour stays in Florida this week with the 2022 Players Championship set to tee off on Thursday, March 10 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.. 'Golf's fifth major' will feature a start-studded field that includes 47 of the top 50 golfers in the Official World Golf Rankings. World No. 1 Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas are listed as the 14-1 betting favorites in the latest 2022 Players Championship odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Other top contenders in the Players Championship field include Rory McIlroy (18-1), Viktor Hovland (20-1), Scottie Scheffler (25-1), and Patrick Cantlay (25-1). The total tournament purse is $20 million, with $3.6 million going to the winner, making it imperative that you nail your one and done picks this week at TPC Sawgrass.

With two outright wins already in 2022, Scheffler will likely be a very popular PGA one and done pick this week at TPC Sawgrass. Is the No. 5 golfer in the world a must-play? Or would it make more sense to go with another high upside option like Hideki Matsuyama (30-1), Dustin Johnson (30-1), or Brooks Koepka (35-1)? Before locking in your 2022 Players Championship one and done picks, you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say

The One and Done format is growing in popularity. It has several noticeable similarities to NFL Survivor pools, with the main difference being entries are not eliminated with a bad week. Players pick one golfer per week and earn points based on their selected golfer's prize money for that tournament. Golfers can only be used once per season, and the point format makes nailing majors and big money tournaments critical.

McClure is a DFS legend with nearly $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his golf picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his golf picks.

McClure has been nailing his one and done PGA picks all year. He nailed Hideki Matsuyama's outright win at the Sony Open, then followed that up by picking Will Zalatoris at the Farmers Insurance Open. The result: Zalatoris finished in sole possession of second place, taking home $915,600. At the Waste Management Phoenix Open McClure's top two One and Done picks were Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka, who both finished T-3, one stroke behind the leaders, which was good for $434,600 each. Then last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, McClure listed Tyrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick among his top one and done options. Both finished in the top-10, with Hatton finishing T-2 ($908,000) and Fitzpatrick finishing T-9 ($339,000).

McClure's model is also up nearly $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has dialed in on the 2022 Players Championship golf tournament, and just locked in his one and done picks and PGA predictions. You can only see McClure's Players Championship one and done picks at SportsLine.

2022 Players Championship One and Done expert picks

One golfer McClure loves this week at TPC Sawgrass is Justin Thomas. Ranked No. 8 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Thomas has top-10 finishes in three of the four tournaments he's played in in 2022, and has made it clear he wants to defend his 2021 Players title.

In his most recent outing, Thomas finished in sixth place at the Genesis Invitational. The 28-year-old is elite in all facets of the game, ranking fourth in strokes gained tee-to-green, seventh in total strokes gained, 10th in strokes gained approach, and first in birdie average. He proved a year ago that he can excel at Sawgrass, and McClure loves his chances at repeating as Players champion in 2022. With the overall talent in the Players Championship field, it's very possible that Thomas will fly under the radar in one and done pools this week.
