Talk about things I never thought I'd type: GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently called out Jordan Spieth for choking at the Masters, comparing him to 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Whew, got all that?

“That last election should have been won, except Romney choked like a dog. He choked … Let me tell you, Jordan Spieth choked a little bit,” Trump said. “But you know what? He’s going to recover. He’s a great young guy, and he’s going to recover. Romney can’t recover from a choke.”

The whole thing starts at 15:10 right here.

“Golf is very delicate game. It’s a tough mental game,” Trump told WOR in New York in a follow-up interview. “It’s one of those things that makes it great and horrendous. [Spieth] is such a nice young guy and he was doing it so well. … It looked like it was over. He was playing so well. Then he got a bogey, then he got another bogey, then he got a little scared. Then he hit the ball in the water. Then he hit another ball in the water."

I'm not totally sure I get why Trump, who is heavily invested in the golf world, is making light of golf's most valuable asset at the moment.
