Arnold Allen earned some respect on Saturday with his performance in the co-main event. The Englishman delivered in a big way with his stoppage of Dan Hooker as the native of New Zealand looked to reinvent himself down a weight class. Allen made short work of Hooker on Saturday in a matchup where both men were rocked over the course of half a round.

Allen and Hooker came out swinging. The Englishman generally caught the better of his counterpart, pressing forward with looping punches. Hooker bit down on his mouthpiece and fired back, clipping Allen badly at one point in the exchange. Allen refused to back down and whipped more shots towards Hooker. The fight slowed down for a moment before Allen stepped up and swarmed Hooker. The referee saw enough and waved off the contest as Hooker covered up against the fence.

Allen improved to 18-1 overall, has won all nine of his UFC fights and improved his active winning streak to 11. This marks the first knockout or TKO win in Allen's run and the first stoppage via strikes he has secured in eight years. Hooker, who returned to featherweight for the first time in more than five years, has lost four of his last fights with three via first-round stoppage.

Allen, speaking with UFC commentator Michael Bisping post-fight, called for a top-five featherweight opponent next. Allen suggested that he and Calvin Kattar can put on a fun fight.
