Bubba Wallace was the only person in the NASCAR DFS driver pool to finish in the top five in his first two races of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. He placed fifth in the Daytona 500 and Ambetter Health 400 before finishing 35th last week in part due to pit struggles in changing a stubborn lug nut. Wallace will try to build off his strong start to the season at the 2024 Shriners Children's 500 at Phoenix Raceway, with the green flag dropping at 3:30 p.m. ET. on Sunday. Should NASCAR daily Fantasy players expect Wallace to continue his impressive start to the season, or revert to some struggles of last year when forming a NASCAR DFS strategy?

Wallace hasn't finished better than 10th in 12 tries at Phoenix Raceway, but can he break that and be a valuable option to 2024 Shriners Children's 500 DFS lineups on Sunday? Before locking in any NASCAR DFS picks for the Shriners Children's 500 on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at Phoenix DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine's Mike McClure

McClure has won over $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win on Sunday.

McClure's model was red-hot in the 2023 season, nailing Martin Truex Jr.'s Clash win (20-1) as well as his win in New Hampshire (11-2), Joey Logano's Duel win (8-1), Kyle Busch's Fontana victory (10-1), Denny Hamlin's triumph in Kansas (6-1) and Kyle Larson's wins at Martinsville (6-1) and the NASCAR All-Star Race (13-2). The model correctly predicted winners in two playoff races as well, with Ryan Blaney scoring a 12-1 payout at Talladega and Larson winning at 9-2 in Las Vegas. It also impressively nailed five of Larson's wins during his historic season in 2021. All told, the model has nailed a whopping 16 winners since 2021 and nine last year alone. Anyone who followed its lead on those NASCAR picks saw huge returns.

Now, he's turned his attention to Sunday's Shriners Children's 500. He's only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool here.

Top 2024 Shriners Children's 500 NASCAR DFS picks

For NASCAR at Phoenix, McClure is high on Kyle Larson ($14,000 on FanDuel and $11,500 on DraftKings). Larson won the Pennzoil 400 last week for his 24th career NASCAR victory. The 31-year-old won 17 races over his previous three seasons entering this year and it only took him three competitions to earn his first victory of the 2024 Cup Series campaign. Larson is the early leader in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series standings as he's led 205 laps through three races, including 181 laps last week.

Larson won four races last season, second only behind William Byron (six) and there are no signs this year will be anything short of another dominant run for the elite driver. Larson had 15 top-five finishes and 18 top-10 results last year. He finished third at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race last November at Phoenix Raceway and he's finished in the top-10 in nine of his last 10 runnings there. Larson won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship event in 2021 and although he comes with a huge price tag, McClure thinks he's well worth the investment for NASCAR DFS lineups.

Part of McClure's optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also includes rostering Martin Truex Jr. ($11,000 on FanDuel and $9,800 on DraftKings). Truex finished seventh at NASCAR at Las Vegas last weekend and he's finished no worse than 15th in his first three NASCAR Cup Series races this season. The 43-year-old is third in the NASCAR Cup Series standings early in the year due to his consistent finishes in the top half of the NASCAR DFS driver pool, heavily increasing his value in NASCAR DFS picks.

Truex has recent success at Phoenix Raceway of his own entering Sunday. He won at the raceway in March 2021 and finished sixth in his last running there at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in November. Truex also finished second in a November NASCAR at Phoenix running in 2022 as he's led 137 laps at his last six runnings at Phoenix Raceway. He doesn't come with a huge price tag and given his success in Phoenix, McClure sees value in including the 43-year-old in NASCAR DFS lineups. See which other drivers to roster here.

How to set 2024 NASCAR at Phoenix DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting an undervalued driver set to return plenty of value for his NASCAR DFS picks. He's in a prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won't break the bank. You can see who it is, and every other pick, right here.
