2021 NASCAR regular season champion Kyle Larson was due to start from the pole in last Saturday's Coke Zero Sugar 400, but was bumped to the rear of the field after his car failed pre-race inspections. He still managed to avoid multiple crashes and battled to finish 20th. Larson is hoping for an easier path to the top in Sunday's 2021 Cook Out Southern 500 in Darlington, where he'll start sixth on the grid. The race marks one more chance for fans to enter NASCAR DFS tournaments on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings.

In the 15 races leading up to last week's race in Daytona, Larson has 11 top-three finishes, including five victories. Larson is also one of the most successful active drivers at Darlington, with 500 laps led in seven career races there. Who else could join Larson as a top pick from the NASCAR DFS driver pool on DraftKings and FanDuel? Before locking in any NASCAR DFS picks for the 2021 Cook Out Southern 500, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at Darlington DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine's Mike McClure

McClure has won almost $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win on Sunday.

McClure had Chase Elliott listed as his top NASCAR DFS earlier this summer, and Elliott went on to earn the win at Road America. Then his model nailed the top five in a road race at Watkins Glen earlier this month. His model, which simulates every race 10,000 times, has called four outright winners this year. Anybody who has followed his picks has seen some huge returns.

Now, he's turned his attention to Sunday's Cook out Southern 500. He's only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool here.

Top 2021 Cook Out Southern 500 NASCAR DFS picks

One of McClure's top NASCAR DFS picks is Tyler Reddick ($8,000 on DraftKings and $9,000 on FanDuel). The 25-year-old has seen his results vary throughout the season, but he squeaked into the postseason as the 15th-seeded driver.

In four career NASCAR Cup Series races at Darlington, Reddick has only finished inside of the top 10 once, but has finished in the top 20 three times. Reddick led two laps in his most recent performance at Darlington in May at the Goodyear 400 and had a third place finish in Stage 1 of the race. Three weeks ago at Indianapolis, he held the lead for six laps before ultimately finishing 21st.

Part of McClure's optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also includes rostering Kevin Harvick ($9,800 on DraftKings, and $11,500 on FanDuel). The 21-year NASCAR veteran has 58 career wins, but is still looking for his first in 2021.

Since 2018, Harvick has won at Darlington twice in six total races. He's never finished worse than sixth during that stretch and has an average finish of 3.17. In the Toyota 500 last year, Harvick started 20th and finished in third. He'll look for another such performance this weekend when he starts out ninth on the grid.

How to set 2021 NASCAR at Darlington DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting an undervalued driver set to return plenty of value. He's in a prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won't break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing huge in your NASCAR DFS tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can see every pick here.
