The NASCAR Cup Series debuts at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday. The green flag drops on the 2021 EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at 2:30 p.m. ET and Denny Hamlin, who tops the Cup Series standings, will be looking for his first victory of the season. Other drivers like Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott are also looking for their first wins and could be popular NASCAR DFS picks. This has been a wild Cup Series season, with 10 different drivers winning the first 13 races, so there are no guarantees as NASCAR heads to a new track.

Elliott ranks first with a plus-160 pass differential. He's the most expensive option on FanDuel and the second-most expensive on DraftKings, so rostering him means you'll need to search for more economical options in the NASCAR DFS driver pool. Before finalizing your NASCAR DFS picks for the 2021 EchoPark Texas Grand Prix on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at COTA DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine's Mike McClure

McClure has won almost $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win on Sunday.

Last month, McClure had Alex Bowman listed as his top NASCAR DFS pick and Bowman went on to capture the win at Richmond. His model, which simulates every race 10,000 times, has also nailed at least seven of the top 10 finishers in six of the last 10 races. Anybody who has followed his picks has seen huge returns.

Now, he's turned his attention to Sunday's 2021 EchoPark Texas Grand Prix. He's only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool here.

Top 2021 EchoPark Texas Grand Prix NASCAR DFS picks

For NASCAR at COTA, McClure is high on Christopher Bell at $9,500 on FanDuel and $8,300 on DraftKings. A Cup Series rookie in the 2020 season, Bell posted seven top-10 finishes last season and already has five top-10s this year. He also claimed his first checkered flag with a win at the O'Reilly Auto Parts 253 in February.

With an average starting position of 10.8, Bell has 1,373 green flag passes. That ranks sixth in the Cup Series, while his 842 quality passes rank second. With NASCAR using a competition-based formula to determine its starting grid, Bell should start even further back for NASCAR at COTA, giving him even greater upside to accumulate more passes. He is too good to pass up at his listed prices and makes for one of the top 2021 EchoPark Texas Grand Prix DFS picks.

Part of McClure's optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also includes rostering Alex Bowman at $9,800 on FanDuel and $8,900 on DraftKings. Bowman won last week at Dover which was his second victory over the last five races. He's one of just two drivers this Cup Series season who has won more than one race.

Bowman's three DNFs have skewed his overall stats, but he still ranks sixth in pass differential despite ranking 13th in the Cup Series standings. He also ranks seventh in total laps led (109) and showed last week that he can emerge from almost anywhere to take a lead and win a race. At the 2021 Drydene 400, Bowman was in the No. 16 starting position and finished eighth in Stage 1, third in Stage 2 and first in the Final Stage for his fourth career victory.

How to set 2021 NASCAR at COTA DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting an undervalued driver set to return plenty of value. He's in a prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won't break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing huge in your NASCAR DFS tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can see every pick here.
