With an average starting position of 10.8, Bell has 1,373 green flag passes. That ranks sixth in the Cup Series, while his 842 quality passes rank second. With NASCAR using a competition-based formula to determine its starting grid, Bell should start even further back for NASCAR at COTA, giving him even greater upside to accumulate more passes. He also ranks seventh in total laps led (109) and showed last week that he can emerge from almost anywhere to take a lead and win a race. At the 2021 Drydene 400, Bowman was in the No. 16 starting position and finished eighth in Stage 1, third in Stage 2 and first in the Final Stage for his fourth career victory.
