Through 3 Quarters

Down nine at the end of last quarter, the Toronto Raptors have now snagged the lead. Sitting on a score of 80-72, they have looked like the better squad out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play.

Toronto has been led by shooting guard Gary Trent Jr., who so far has shot 7-for-13 from downtown and has recorded 25 points and four boards. The Atlanta Hawks have been relying on the performance of shooting guard Kevin Huerter, who has 18 points.

the Hawks have lost 86% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

What to Know

The Atlanta Hawks are getting right back to it as they host the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET Jan. 31 at State Farm Arena. Keep an eye on the score for this one: these two teams posted some lofty points totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet Monday.

Atlanta beat the Los Angeles Lakers 129-121 on Sunday. The Hawks' point guard Trae Young did his thing and posted a double-double on 36 points and 12 assists in addition to five boards.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat typically have all the answers at home, but this past Saturday Toronto proved too difficult a challenge. The Raptors won 124-120 over the Heat in overtime. Toronto's shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. looked sharp as he had 33 points along with five steals and five rebounds. Trent Jr.'s night made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 32 points. Trent Jr.'s points were the most he has had all year.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Hawks are expected to win a tight contest. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a seven-game streak of ATS wins.

The wins brought Atlanta up to 24-25 and Toronto to 24-23. Atlanta is 13-10 after wins this season, the Raptors 11-12.
