E.J. Singler: Released by Raptors
The Raptors opted to release Singler on Saturday.
Singler was just the fifth small forward on the Raptors depth chart during training camp, so this move was somewhat expected. The 26-year-old has now failed to make the regular season roster for both the Jazz and the Raptors. He will likely enter the D-League and look for another opportunity.

Raptors' E.J. Singler: Signs training camp deal with Raptors
Singler signed a training camp deal with the Raptors on Wednesday, Blake Murphy of Raptors Republic reports.
Singler spent five summer league games with the Raptors, finishing with averages of 6.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 19 minutes per game. He didn't do much to stand out, but the Raptors have opted to give him a shot and will bring him in for training camp. Singler obviously has a longs way to go to make the final roster and would likely be a NBA D-League option if he's unable to make the team.
