Bucks' Marvin Williams: Retires after Game 5
Williams announced his retirement from the NBA after the Bucks were eliminated by the Heat on Tuesday following Milwaukee's 103-94 loss in Game 5, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Williams will step away from the game after 15 seasons in the NBA. After entering the professional ranks following his freshman season at North Carolina, Williams was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He began his career with the Hawks, with whom he played for seven seasons while averaging 11.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He then spent two years in Utah before moving on to Charlotte and, eventually, Milwaukee. Though never an All-Star, Williams' longevity is rare, and he retires with the 90th-most games played and the 32nd-lowest turnover rate in NBA history.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Sinks four treys in Game 5 victory
Williams went for 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt), seven rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Saturday's 118-104 Game 5 win against the Magic.
Williams had by far his best showing of the first round in this one, scoring in double figures while also logging 20-plus minutes. He hadn't accomplished either of those feats in the first four games of the series, but Williams may be relied upon a bit more heavily as the postseason continues thanks to his ability to contribute on both ends and at both forward positions.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Ejected Saturday
Williams was ejected during Saturday's Game 3 against the Magic, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Williams and James Ennis got into an altercation in the second quarter which involved some pushing and shoving. After the two were separated, they were both assessed double technicals and ejected. Williams finishes the game with two rebounds and one block in six minutes.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Pulls down nine boards
Williams finished with four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), nine boards, and one block in 23 minutes of a 120-116 loss to Houston on Sunday.
Williams made his first appearance since the restart with an active day on the glass. The veteran will provide key depth for the Buck's front court during their title push this summer. He'll face the Nets on Tuesday.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Off injury report
Williams (groin) is off the injury report for Sunday's contest against the Rockets.
Williams missed the Bucks' opener due to a strained left groin, but he'll be available for the second contest of the bubble restart. In his final 10 appearances before the break, he averaged 3.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 18.4 minutes. His return could signal fewer minutes for Sterling Brown, Robin Lopez and/or Ersan Ilyasova

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Officially out for opener
Williams (groin) won't play in Friday's restart opener against the Celtics, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
As expected, Williams will sit out while dealing with a strained left groin, which the team has deemed "moderate." The veteran's absence should be very short term. In his stead, Ersan Ilyasova could see extra run.

This is the first we've heard of the injury, but Williams' absence Monday is likely precautionary as the Bucks gear up for their first seeding game Friday night.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Gets rest Monday
Williams (coach's decision) was active for Monday's 109-95 loss to the Nuggets but didn't see the floor.
After the Bucks ruled out Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Eric Bledsoe (knee) and George Hill (thigh) in advance of the contest, coach Mike Budenholzer chose to give impromptu rest days to several other players in the second half of the back-to-back set. Along with Williams, rotation mainstays Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo were also given the night off. Williams will return to action Thursday against the Celtics and should split minutes at power forward with Ersan Ilyasova in the event Antetokounmpo (knee) is sidelined for a third straight game.

Bucks' Marvin Williams: Logs 20 minutes against Indiana
Williams went for four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 119-100 win over the Pacers.
Williams appears to have leapfrogged Ersan Ilyasova on the power forward depth chart, as the latter was left out of the rotation entirely in this one. Williams has earned at least 16 minutes in eight of nine appearances since joining the Bucks. Still, the 33-year-old veteran hasn't hit double figures in scoring once yet for Milwaukee, and he's at best a dart throw in daily leagues.
